Four examples of Vermeer paintings

Join local art historian Michelle Stoeffler as she digs deep into Dutch artist Jan Vermeer’s life and art. He led a fascinating life and we will explore the famous masterpieces he created and review his process, his materials and techniques and of course learn about his inspirations.

Michelle Stoeffler is a career art educator, currently teaching in Round Rock ISD. As a native New Yorker, she was immersed in cultural institutions from a young age and has an appreciation for art that not only communicates but lodges itself deep within the viewer. She is a fan of divergent thinkers and all art resulting from emotional turbulence. Ms. Stoeffler has a degree in Display and Exhibit Design from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the State University of New York and a M.A. in art education from a small private college called Adelphi University.
