Your Abstract Journey, Step 1- with Sue Bishop

Acrylic and Mixed Media Workshop

Dates and Times:

  • Saturday, September 23, 2023, 10:00 AM 5:00 PM

This acrylic and mixed media workshop is suitable for beginning artists to advanced artists. Although the theme is non-objective, all the information obtained can apply to any medium and genre.

You will quickly learn the art of creating non-objective paintings. There will be a series of dictated instructions to disturb the surface of the substrate and begin the process of a non-objective composition. The art of editing and designing the surface following simple guidelines will allow you to bring at least one of the six paintings you begin in class to completion.

This workshop will stress creating your own unique style and finding your own artistic voice. Ideas for making your own stamps, collage paper, and stencils will be shown. Painting techniques will be demonstrated, and students will get private instruction during the day. The instructor will explain each step of the painting process while encouraging you to stretch your imagination.

You will receive a booklet that gives you step-by-step information about the class and the procedures used. This will be your reference guide once you leave the class and want to refresh your memory.

The enrollment fee covers attendance at the masterclass.

Enrollment Fee: $145
