Pencil & Charcoal Drawing Workshop

September 10th 9AM-12PM & September 24th 9AM-12PM

This is a two-part drawing workshop that will take place on 9/10 and 9/24, 9AM- 12PM both days. The enrollment fee covers both days.

The intention of the class is to increase your visual awareness, creative capabilities, and technical ability whether you are new to drawing, self-taught, or experienced. Edgar Degas once commented, “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” The class will explore different drawing techniques and tools to see, build, and/or enhance a drawing skill level.

About Your Instructor

Carolyn Todd is a fifth-generation Texan, born in Austin, Texas. As a volunteer for Texas Parks and Wildlife for over 30 years, she has always been inspired by the thought that art increases and sharpens our experiences with life.

After attending the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Houston in Fine Arts, Art History, and Fine Arts Education and has been a secondary art teacher in two Austin middle schools and Georgetown High School.

She was selected as the “Artist in Residence” for the National Park Service, Amistad National Recreation Area, Del Rio, Texas. And her solo show “El Cielo, Las Mesas y El Rio Diablo” was attended by local families, artists, teachers, university staff, students, and faculty.
