About Your Instructor

Carolyn Todd is a fifth-generation Texan, born in Austin, Texas. As a volunteer for Texas Parks and Wildlife for over 30 years, she has always been inspired by the thought that art increases and sharpens our experiences with life.

After attending the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Houston in Fine Arts, Art History, and Fine Arts Education and has been a secondary art teacher in two Austin middle schools and Georgetown High School.

She was selected as the “Artist in Residence” for the National Park Service, Amistad National Recreation Area, Del Rio, Texas. And her solo show “El Cielo, Las Mesas y El Rio Diablo” was attended by local families, artists, teachers, university staff, students, and faculty.
