Color Language/Perception Painting Workshop

April 22, 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Visual color perception is influenced by different color sensitivities from person to person depending on mood, age, culture, religion, varying environments with different degrees of lightness and color, as well as the deficiency or inability to recognize and document color and color differences. This study of color is intended to enhance/improve one’s art expression, explore color harmony, and increase technical skill with color and paint. Through color exercises and finished color compositions, the workshop will study the different hues (the name of the color family), blending/mixing strengths of acrylic (or watercolor) paints including color temperature, color values and neutrals, and color bias among paint colors that can contribute or become problematic to color mixing. Different subject matter will be selected to observe and replicate specific colors in a color chart leading to completed paintings.

Please note that spaces are limited.

Enrollment Fee: $115

Supplies will be provided.

Please bring your own lunch.
